Received a call saying they were from Frontier Communications and Frontier was getting rid of their copper phone lines. Said Frontier was sending people to ring planet even though Ring Planet isn't part of Frontier. The person claiming to be from Frontier asked the exact same questions (phone number, address, account pin etc.) Frontier always does. They then transferred me to Ring Planet. I had originally signed up to change to Ring Planet (3/30/26), but cancelled several hours after signing up. I called Frontier and they said they had nothing on there end about quitting copper land lines in the near future. The representative phone number was 325-297-2811. The managers phone number was 989-447-6142 and he claimed his name was Ben White. They are being deceptive when trying to get you to switch. The make it sound like Frontier was having people, with land lines, switch to third party Ring Planet because Frontier was getting rid of copper land lines.
