My son (young adult) saw an ad for an office chair on TikTok. Followed TikTok link to their website (shop-avona.online). Purchase was made through the website and email confirmation was received. Two weeks passed without further communication. I reached out for an update and was given a FedEx tracking number which seemed legit (was able to look it up on the real FedEx site). On the expected delivery date FedEx tracking said it was delivered but the photo posted was not my house. I used FedEx support chat and was asked for my street number and was told it didn't match their shipping label. A package of some sort appears to have been delivered somewhere in my city but I don't know what address because FedEx couldn't share that info with me. Originating city was Burlington, New Jersey. The website is no longer available ... appears to have been completely wiped clean but I was able to pull up some info on my search history from when I first became suspicious. This website has it's shopify address (hygrfv-c1.myshopify.com) and personal gmail ( [email protected] ): https://www.merchantgenius.io/shop/url/avona-store.com. I also have an Australian Company Number and address that was on the Avona website in the contact us section (which no longer exists): ACN: 006 062 602 and 12 Cervara Avenue, Stirling WA 6021, Australia.
