I applied for an e-visa to India for my wife and my son. A typical practice for an individual is to google "apply for evisa to India" and a response page came back with a few links. The first response I noticed had Indian flag and a site named "Indiasvisa.org". I trusted it was Indian government's website and quickly applied for the visa. They charged me 199USD per visa, which I told my wife. It looked pretty high to her, when she checked she told me that the fee appeared pretty high. I then went back to the site and started investigating the details. It was indeed high, and I also found the way they approach the consumers is by creating this brand image that they are the official channel to get visa to India, without declaring a full transparency on the form I filled. There was nothing that said that they are the agents. Lastly, they show the submission page with a link to terms and conditions. In today's world nobody reads the fine print. I would expect the company to raise a point somewhere that they are agents to the government while doing the form. They created a look and feel of the webform which led me to believe that we are working with the government website. I reached out to them within 24 hours to return my money and cancel the service, however, they are clearly refusing to do that. .css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0 [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: eleven dimension technologies limited] [Location: ON, CAN- K2J 5R9]
