At Yahoo!s homepage I saw an ad about two sisters at MIT that presented a revolutionized skin tag removal serum to the Shark Tank investors. I clicked on the ad and it took me to a website that displayed the whole story. Purely Me had an offer for 3 - 1oz bottles for $30, plus 3 free bottles if I concluded my purchase "now". After entering my name, address, phone number and CC details, I hit enter and up popped an order confirmation page with a confirmation code and a paragraph indicating I would receive more details at the e-mail address I provided. I received a confirmation email from PurelyMeSkin.com that only contained the order confirmation number and the personal information I provided. There was no invoice information, return information, business information, website or phone number. I immediately checked my CC statement and verified I was charged $179.99 by a company under the name HDGsupplies.com; not $30.00 as creatively marketed. Purely Me has very deceptive marketing practices and seems to intentionally create confusion on their website. Very unclear at the moment of purchase the offer states that if you buy 3 bottles at retail price ($149.99/bottle) you'll receive 3 bottles for free; making it the same as $30/bottle (according to the asterix next to the word Free). This would explain why I was charged $179.99 (divide by 6; $30/bottle). However, the math on their website does not add up regardless of offer and I fear I will incur more than one charge on my credit card. Purely Me offers a 30 day refund, and in their T&C's they say to return the product to their fulfillment center at the address listed in the Terms and Conditions. There is no address or phone number listed in the T&C's, or their Privacy Policy. The confirmation e-mail does not list any business name, address, website, or customer care phone number.
