The website looks like the official government page for passport application. It uses the similar information gathering tool to prepare the passport application. At the end, it asks to charge the similar fee as the official website which sounds like going towards the passport book cost, but it actually only towards a 1-page application form that could be generated for free on the official government website. No direct customer phone number listed on the website and hasn't received any calls from the company since concern was brought up after the payment. After google copilot search, it shows "Yes, USPassportandVisa.org is a scam that misleads users into paying for services that are free on official U.S. government websites." @media (min-width:768px){.css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:auto;-ms-flex-preferred-size:auto;flex-basis:auto;width:calc(100% * 6 / var(--Grid-parent-columns) - (var(--Grid-parent-columns) - 6) * (var(--Grid-parent-co [BBB Scam Type: Government Agency Imposter] [Business: uspassportandvisa.org] [Location: FL, USA- 33322]
I would like to report the site https://uspassportandvisa.org/. They are acting like a government website in order to renew your passport but they are not a government website and they ask for private information like SSN, phone number, email and charge you for services that are free on the government website for passport renewal. The website uspassportandvisa.org comes up as the first search option in Google when looking for how to renew your US passport. This is NOT a government website and CANNOT renew a US passport. It takes personally identifiable information and generates a form to send to the US government for a fee of over $100. The user then needs to send the government an additional fee for the passport to be renewed. The website looks like it is government affiliated, but it is not. It should not be coming up in search results and puts consumers at risk for accidentally sharing their highly sensitive information, such as full social security number, home address, place of work, and full name. When you Google “Passport”, Uspassportandvisa.org was the first website to pop up before the government site. When the link is clicked initially, it brings you to a page that states it helps with filling out and sending in an application for a passport. Which is FALSE! After completing your application and paying, the website refreshes and it is the stated that it is a THIRD PARTY COMPANY NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE GOVERNMENT!! You literally pay $125 for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! They do not send your application in. They do not help get you started and or help with your next steps. They simply rob you. I emailed and called with this company multiple times and they were so rude and reluctant to be of assistance or cancel and refund my order; This company needs to be SHUT DOWN!! @media (min-width:768px){.css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:auto;-ms-flex-preferred-size:auto;flex-basis:auto;width:calc(100% * 6 / var(--Grid-parent-columns) - (var(--Grid-parent-colum [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: US Passport and Visa] [Location: MI, USA- 49202]
Searched online for a child passport application. Found USPassportandVisa.org in search results. Site appeared to be an official government website. Completed the form, which collected my minor child's Social Security number, date of birth, full name, and home address, along with both parents' names, dates of birth, and address. After clicking submit, received no confirmation page, no email, and no receipt. Site is not affiliated with any government agency. My minor child's SSN is now held by an unaccountable company with hidden ownership. [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: USPassportandVisa.org] [Location: WA, USA- 98006]
The website uspassportandvisa.org appeared to be an official passport application service but is a private third-party company charging $130 for auto-generated passport forms and mailing instructions that are available for free from the U.S. government. I realized the mistake immediately and requested cancellation. Dollars Lost $132 [BBB Scam Type: Government Agency Imposter] [Business: US Passport and Visa] [Location: VA, USA- 23456]
Accessed USPassportandVisa.org with intention of renewing passport. Site seemed legit until credit card transaction was blocked. Did not proceed with approving credit card transaction.
