On 1/16/2026 I purchased an airline tix on a 3rd party travel site called www.cheapvuelos.com. . I chose my flight and paid 2 travelers. Unbeknownst to me, the scammers at Cheap Vuelos (aka Chief Fellows) used my credit card on the to make my reservation (online) directly on the airline carrier site (as it is were me making the reservation). Within minutes I received a confirmation email from cheapvuelos.com with a useless internal confirmation # but no airline record locator code. Next I received a telephone message telling me that my flight will be changed. This is the transcribed message: “yeah hi miss I'm calling you from chief fellows in regards to the flights you made from Philadelphia going to Salt Lake City do call us back as early as possible because your dates are being rescheduled on a different option available you want to stick with the same days you need to call us back or there will be a prior notice your tickets will be changed automatically so do call us back as up thank you bye” When I called back I woke to a person calling himself “Kenneth”. Kenneth was basically telling me that I had to pay more money b/c my flight was cancelled. At this point my credit card had not been charged. I told Kenneth to cancel my reservation request, but he told me that my reservation was permanent, and that i did not have a seat on the plane. I would either have to stand up for the entire flight or he could upgrade me to a different class. This foolish scammer went in and on for 20 min before I finally terminated the call. Immediately after termination, my credit card was charged and I for a text notification of the charge. I went only to try to check with the airline about the reservation and all I got was an error messages. I called the airline and the agent found the record locator # with my personal details.
