The Provident Associates Final Notice Scam contacted consumers through fraudulent "FINAL NOTICE" letters sent to their home addresses, impersonating "Provident Associates LP" to mimic the legitimate PROVIDENT FUNDING ASSOCIATES. The scammers claimed to represent the mortgage company and directed victims to call a fraudulent customer service number regarding urgent mortgage matters. The impersonation was discovered when consumers recognized the suspicious nature of the correspondence and realized it didn't match legitimate communications from their actual mortgage servicer.
