I paid for parking in a lot through an app (Park Mobile). I have proof of payment and no open parking tickets through the app. I paid $15.35 to park for 12 hours. I entered the lot at 06:46 and exited at 13:46. I paid to park at 07:13. This company, PRRS (based in a different state than I parked in), sent notices by mail that they could tow or boot my vehicle unless I paid $55. These notices included photographs of my vehicle. After some online research, it seems they use intimidating and predatory practices, and many people think it is a scam. I called PRRS to dispute the ticket, and they said they would issue a "one-time dismissal" of it. Parked in a free parking facility it was after 7pm on a weekday and I was ticketed for $35 by PRRS. Several other in my meeting received the same notice. No signs, always parked for free there, it was a weekday and after 7pm. Received a letter from Parking Revenue Recovery Services, Inc. With photos supposedly showing my vehicle illegally / unauthorized / parking in Columbus, OH at 8 Price Ave on Feb 15th at 8:24pm My vehicle never left the Cincinnati area that day. Vehicle as shown in black and white photos is a dark vehicle and the license is not clear in photos. Vehicle does not match my vehicle as my vehicle did not park there at that time and my vehicle is white. Scanned QR code at hair stylist lot- recently taken over from public parking. The QR code requires license plate number and time of service. I have received two "Notice of Non-Compliance" notices/ bills for apparently not having a permit/ no facility registration / unauthorized parking in a lot at 509 W. North Street, Raleigh, NC. Where there was no posted signage indicating I needed any of the reported to park there. I received a notice from Parking Revenue Recovery Services (PRRS) referencing Notice No. OPCCHI-045755. The notice claims I committed a parking violation, but it does not explain what the violation supposedly was, where it occurred, or provide any evidence to support the claim. I have not violated any parking rules PRRS is implying. This raises serious concerns about how and why my private vehicle information was accessed. I attempted to contact PRRS directly to resolve the issue. The experience was unprofessional and concerning: • I called their office and requested to speak with a manager. • I was denied access to a manager with no explanation. • The representative abruptly hung up on me. This behavior, combined with the lack of evidence and the unexplained access to my personal information, strongly suggests that this notice may be part of a fraudulent or deceptive practice. Sent notice of non-compliance for unauthorized parking on 1221 Main Street, Columbia SC on 3/5/2026, entry 11:43am-1:32pm and notice fee is $90.00. States vehicle was parked on private property and in breach of posted rules. States that after 30 days if not paid will be in default and may be assigned to a debt collector. Pay now py QRCode link, on website, or pay check. I tried to put in dispute on website, but it does not give not my car or plate number as an option so you cannot continue to put in a dispute. Tried to call them but line is always busy. I saw several complaints about this agency on the internet saying it is probably a scam. I have not been in Columbia SC in over two years. The vehicle plate number is not mine and to my knowledge never has been my plate number. Care in picture has make of vehicle, like pathfinder or land rover, on it, my does not and it looks to be light colored vehicle, my is dark. On 3/5/26, date/time they say this picture was taken, I was in Anderson SC in a doctor appointment then back to work in Pendleton SC. I do not know how they connected my name/address to this vehicle. I have also put in a complaint with the SCDCA and sent to Channel 7 News.
