1/9/26 Attn: Better business bureau Re: Fraud report and dispute all charges from Vinhistoryusa.com To whom it may concern, On 6/2/25 I signed up for a 7 day free trial through the following website www.vinhistoryusa.com. This was advertised as a 7 day free trial as long as you cancelled within the 7 days. I signed up for it as I needed vehicle information for a car I was selling. I used the vin lookup on 6/2/25 for the information I needed. Once I completed my task I tried to cancel the service on their website, and it stated call customer service. I called the number listed on their website 202-751-4073 and no one answered and I could not leave a message. I then followed up with an email cancelling the service on 6/2/25. I also tried the chat function on their website but it did not work. This was signed up for and cancelled on the same day, well within the free trial period. That same month my Daughter was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, so I have been busy assisting her with her 3 young children while she is in treatment. I was not watching my Citi monthly statements until 1/6/26 when I noticed a reoccurring charge for $29.95 from CB Vinhistory going back to 6/10/25. After googling the description listed on my Citi statement, I remembered the 7 day free trial I had signed up for and cancelled. I called Citi credit card and had new cards issued and shared what had happened. The charges are being investigated but I would also the BBB to investigate fraudulently taken funds. I will provide credit card statement reflecting the charges and payments upon request.
