I was searching for a puppy for my family for Christmas. We found the website elegantsaintbernard.com and made contact about available puppies. After emailing back and forth we agreed on a puppy and I pain 450.00 to secure the puppy. Then I paid another 400.00 for the remainder of the purchase. They sent a BIll of Sales contract and I filled it out. The agreed price of the puppy was 600.00 and the shipping fee was 250.00. The morning the puppy was to be shipped. Elegant Saint Bernard emailed me and said the shipping cost had increased because of the holiday and I would be required to pay a 1400.00 refundable fee to ship the dog for the crate rental. I immediately got worried and I started search for scams associated with Elegant Saint Bernard. I found several old ones on Reddit. Then I received texts from the shipper. But the texts weren't written by native english speakers. The text wanted me to click on links to approve the crate rental. I contacted the Owner. Nelson Simmons by email. He apologized for the confusion and said he was a legitimate breeder. He offered to split the 1400.00 shipping fee with me. I declined and told him I wanted a refund. Then crickets... I finally got a response about a week later when I threated to report him and he was asking for my banking information to send the refund. I told him he could refund it the same way I paid on apple pay and then I haven't heard from him since. His Business information.
