Made contact with what I thought was a legitimate website to purchase two silkie hens. Communicated through their website chat at https:purefeatheredpoultry. Further communication was done through text and email. Phone number given was 409-372-9699. Person's name I was given was Lydia Valenzuela and given a quote of 80.00 with shipping included and made payment through Chime to $Lydia Valenzuela-9. I was then contacted by email and given a tracking number for shipment on 2-10-26 with delivery on 2-11-26. I was then contacted by the supposed shipper by email https://flyerbirdmovers.com informing me that the shipper (pure feathered) did not provide a suitable shipping container and in order for them to ship my hens I would either have to purchase or rent a suitable container. Prices given were $200.00 to rent and over $2000.00 to purchase. They told me the shipment was on hold and I needed to click on a link provided in the email to confirm my choice whether to rent or purchase a shipping container. I was told if I chose to rent that the courier would return the 200.00 dollar rent fee in cash when she delivered the hens. At this point I became extremely suspicious I was dealing with a scammer and did not click on any links in their email and have stopped all communication with Purefeathered and flyerbird movers nor have they made any further attempts to contact me. Upon further investigation through social media a search on the legitimacy of both websites I realized there have been others that have been scammed out of their hard earned money. It is my belief these scammers have copied a legitimate website and have set up a fake website using the same name. So thankful I picked up on this scam. I was told my payment of 80.00 dollars included shipping leaving me to believe there were no additional fees associated with my purchase. They lied.
