I contacted a company called MInt Air Cleaning for service my fireplace. I was quoted a "special" price of 149.00 to clean the fireplace. A person showed up and identified himself as the owner of the company at the time the technician was supposed to come to my house. He did not show me any identification, and he did not show up with a company vehicle with identification. He quickly looked at the fireplace and told me the price was 199.00. I said that was not the price quoted, and I was going to call the company to clear up the cost of the service. In the meantime, the technician who identified himself as the owner of the company said that he could not wait and that he had another job to go to. He told me his name was david. I felt pressure to agree to the service so that he could get started. He had to use the restroom and my house, and then left to wait in his car. I called the company, who told me that they needed to clarify the cost of the service and they would call me back in two minutes. They did not call me back, and in the meantime, the technician called me from his car outside my house from a number 412-929-2199 with caller ID of Schneider Natio. As this technician was talking to me on his cell phone, I got several Google scam alerts, saying that the person that I was talking to was likely a scam. I told him to send me an estimate for the cleaning and to leave to his next job. I then called the company again to complain about the service worker, the fact that I felt pressured, and to relay the fact that I got several spam alerts when the technician was calling me. They said that they would do an investigation. About an hour later I got several calls from 857-788-9520 and 662-491-2214.
