I was contacted by a lady (number she called from 314-549-8324) claiming to be part of Clear Point Group and they are representing timeshare owners who pay yearly maintenance dues and the timeshare companies allegedly rent the units to non-owners and keep the profits. She stated as an owner I could be eligible to have my maintenance fees reimbursed and possible exit from the deed and wanted me to book a time to talk individually with their legal advisors on site at Hilton Garden Inn Chesterfield MO January 14th & 15th at 6:45 pm. She asked for my email address to send conformation- which i never got, if my maintenance dues were current and if it is only me and my husband in the deed. She booked a time for me and my husband to go to Hilton Garden hotel in Chesterfield MO. I got a text message from 1-469-727-0985 that I was to open and confirm my appt. I did not open the text and i blocked the number. I got a call from a lady claiming to represent owners of timeshares with Club Wyndham (her call came from phone 513-453-4053, allegedly for Concora Credit). Allegedly many owners feel exploited by Wyndham (Travel + Leisure) because their maintenance fees were too high and that the equivalent price for a room or apartment at the resorts were discounted for Expedia users and owners paid excessive price (points). I was surprised but wanted to learn more. Since she had my phone number already, I suggested to text me more information. She did send me an email and text, from 469-727-0985. Those were sent from VTXconfirmation... but VTX is a general term often associated with Cryptocurrency. So I suspect a scam.
