I searched online for Capital Overhead Garage Door Repair and believed I was calling the company directly. An individual came to my home under the impression that he was with Capital Overhead and quoted $269 to adjust the tension on my garage door. When I was told to make the check payable to an individual rather than to Capital Overhead, I became concerned. I informed the repairman that I was not comfortable making a check out to someone I had never spoken with previously, and that I felt he had misrepresented himself. Since he was not with the garage door company that had previously serviced my door, I declined to pay and asked him to leave.
