Tried to buy a tie from Vinnies online on Dec 7, 2025. The web site addresses are "deals.peacetrc.com" and "buy.peacetrc.com". Entered name, address, email, Discover credit card info and hit purchase. Little wheel spun and nothing happened. Never received an email from them either. Tried to call them at 718-635-0222 and no one answers. No email on web site and address is incomplete. My Discover card had fraudulent charges in the following days. I also learned that the real Vinnies (St Vincent de Paul Society) is located in Australia. When you go to the real Vinnies web site (**************************) they note that scams have been occurring. The NY Vinnies is using the same Logo as the Australian Vinnies. I found a Peanuts / Snoopy Stanley 40 oz. cup on line and ordered it. Their website looked very legitimate. I placed the order but did not receive a confirmation or invoice. I tried to call them but they list two numbers, +17186350222 and it is a busy signal 24/7 and another number for returns of 1-800-BLACK. Not enough numbers. They go by "Brook's Shopping" and have a teddy bear as their logo. They Also go by "Vennies" which is a legit company based in Australia they are trying to pretend to be. They offer a variety of things and often have a 4 hour timer as if there's a discount to claim before it runs out. You'll likely see some malarky about charity and some phrase along the line of "Best Deals & Prices Online" above where they list their address, which is; 204-02 Jamaica Ave. Their phone number is +17186350222. I cannot find their email listed anywhere, only the option to supposedly email them through the website which involves giving them your own email. Which they don't respond to either. After purchase they won't send you any verification to your email, which is one of the biggest red flags. The website struggled to accept cards. If you have fallen for such a thing, it happens, and I suggest you immediately freeze your card and order a new one. Even if they didn't take money yet, your card info is probably out there now.
