Relentless loan calls, up to three a day. These robocalls typically show a different number, often leave no callback number but occasionally do leave a number, one of the more common is 866-398-3898. I have received multiple phone calls from different numbers, all using Brianne, Marissa Morgan or other aliases that are computer generated voices telling me to press a button to be connected to the underwriting team for a loan that they just need a few details for. All of them leave a call back number of 866-398-3898. I block the number and report it and get a call using different numbers but it’s the same script every time. For several months now I have been receiving phone calls from different numbers at least once a day, sometimes up to 5 times a day. Each time they leave a voicemail it’s an AI chat bot saying that they have received my request for a personal loan and to call back if I’d like to accept the offer. The return phone number in the messages is 866-398-3898. The incoming calls are always from different numbers however the number to call them back is always the same per their voicemails. I started to answer these calls and it starts off with an AI chat bot and you press 1 to be connected to a live person. When I get on the phone with the live person I tell them I’m not interested and to take me off their list, etc., which they haven’t done. I block every number they call from but they just call from a different number. Don’t mean to sound like a Karen, but damn it’s getting frustrating and whenever I ask to speak to the boss they immediately hang the phone up. I have received over 200, yes two hundred!!!! calls from various numbers that all leave ostensibly the same message: Good afternoon this is Marissa Morgan (name changes at random) with the loan review unit and I'm the assigned underwriter to your file. I see notes here we took another look at your file earlier this week and it appears you almost approved for a $67,000 (amount has been escalating). Depending on your income situation, you have three terms and options to select from I just wanted to connect so we can walk through the details together and go over your terms and finalize your funding. When you get a chance please give me a call back at 866-398-3898 again that's 866-398-3898. I'll be available most of the afternoon and would be happy to go over everything with you" After blocking over 100 of these calls and reporting as scams, I decided to pursue the caller. They refuse to give any information as to who they are, where they are, their website, a main phone number. Each time I call I get a little further down the road and then they hang up. I call back and go through all the rigamarole again. They have an address for me that's over two years old and I assume, but cannot yet confirm, they will be asking me for my SS# and other PII information to pursue some sort of financial crime. I've done my part so hopefully somebody at the BBB will take the ball from here. This form asked for the website and email address that was used. I have received the same, or very similar voicemails regarding “your application for the loan” from over 10 different phone numbers, daily for three weeks, and they leave the same call-back number of (866)-398-3898. There have been several different names and the loan amount I’m being approved for has changed a few times. I have not applied for a loan. I have not answered these calls.
