They contacted me via 805-679-0791 with text messages asking if I authorized a charged for best buy to type y or n. Then a text saying that a bank representative from consumers would contact me shortly. Which was a call from the same texting number. This guy mr fleming informed me that I was a victim of identity theft and I needed to move my money out of my acct to protect it from fraudersters. He said that the person that stole me identity had an iphone 12 pro and the name was rebecca moore from miami florida and that an investigation was going to be completed. He stated to move my money to cash app or apple cash because he need to change my digital card number to protect me. So I move money over to apple cash and he instructed me to put a phone number in my phone of 561-291-2366 and then send setup initiate and send the 570 and that in 30 mins I would have the money back after they did a few things on the computer. He went over how this could all happen to me and what to not do and to tap my card whenever possible. He asked what other banks I used and I told him a few and asked what I needed to do and he put me on a hold and said he was contacting woodforest bank. He came back on the line with a woodforest representative that said there was an issue arising there and I needed to do the same thing but to avoid the 30 mins that he would wait on hold 30 mins so it would come back to me instantly and would not hang up until completed. I told him I didn't feel comfortable and he assured me that is why the 30 min hold and I had nothing to worry about and if i had any questions to feel free to ask. So we sat on hold for 30 mins he came back and instructed me to do it on cash app and that it was compromised and i needed to attach my woodforest acct and send all the money over to cash app for safe keeping while he put together a temp card number for me.
