Scam Type: Phantom Debt / Suspicious Caller Phone Number: +1 (814) 400-5625 Organization Claimed: Caller only provided the name “Isabelle Diaz”, no business name. Carrier: Bandwidth (VoIP) Description: I received a call from a woman identifying herself as “Isabelle Diaz” with a Latino accent. She refused to identify any company, agency, or reason for the call. She only asked for a call back. The behavior matches known phantom-debt scams that rotate multiple Bandwidth numbers and use generic Hispanic names. The caller specifically asked to contact a family member (my brother), even though he never provided them with my number or authorized any contact. This tactic is a strong scam indicator. Real debt collectors and real lawyers do not pressure relatives into relaying urgent messages; they send official letters directly to the individual involved. This number is part of a larger pattern of suspicious Bandwidth VoIP numbers calling with vague debt-related or medical-related messages, followed by a pressure call from a live agent. I did not provide any information and ended the call. Warning to Others: If you receive a call from this number, do NOT share personal information. Legitimate debt collectors and legal offices must always: Identify their company Provide a mailing address Explain the nature of the debt Send written notices by mail They do not call relatives or use vague “call me back” messages to create urgency. If someone calls you asking that your family member call them back, do not contact the number — it is almost certainly a scam. Actions Taken: Number blocked Reported to phone carrier (Bandwidth) Logged for evidence [BBB Scam Type: Debt Collections] [Business: AGS] [Location: PA, USA - 17601]
