We have been researching about refinancing and lowering our mortgage payments. These individuals reached out to us by email and we then talked by phone and they went over the full details of what they can do for us to lower our mortgage payment. They sent information by email stating they needed a few things from us to get started. We sent in our income sources, social security number, mortgage statement, and date of birth, and bank information. We didn't find this strange at all because we have done it before. Along with this paperwork we had to send the check (Chase Bank and this scam has been reported to them on 11/17/25) for $1,750.00 (we were told this was for Preliminary Title Report, Opening Escrow Instructions, Processing Mortgage Loan Disclosure, Property Appraisal, and Notary Public Services) and from there they told us they were requesting our title, and they were scheduling the appraisal. A week went by, and we still had not heard anything about an appraisal, so we called and the gentlemen my husband and I spoke with said his name was Darren Wall. He told us that the appraisal would be this past Saturday, November 15, 2025, between the hours of 12:00 and 3:00. Well, no one showed up and since that time we have tried calling Darren Wall (424-400-1953) and Jaime Ryans (818-454-9215) back multiple times and we also sent an email from the website (www.onemainhomeloans.com) requesting someone to call us. The address they gave us to send the check to I later came to find out that it is actually Dickens Mail Box Postal and Shipping Center Sherman Oaks, CA (address 4335 Van Nuys Blvd #215) Sherman Oaks, CA 91403).
