I was sent a text informing me I owed money and it was important to call them. I originally called 844-433-0643. I was told I owed I was going to be sued for $6,758.82 for a credit card.But I could settle for $5,758. Or I could pay at that time $2,500 or set up payment plan on $5,758.00. He aldo told me I was going to get SERVED Monday. (Scare tactic) This particular credit card had already been settled through a debt consolidation company 3 years prior to this phone call. The person who called said his name was Randy a paralegal with Akila Law Firm in San Diego. He gave me his personal # to call back 833-894-3181. I checked with my debt consolidation company and yes, this credit card had been paid 3 years ago. Randy gave me the last 4 digits of this credit card I supposedly owed $$ to. I called the credit card company and I've never had a card with those numbers!! My current debt consolidation company told me it sounded like a scam!! I put "Randy's" phone number in Google and YES its a scam phone number and it had been turned over to the BBB!! BEWARE!!!! He sounded extremely legitimate!!!! These people are using any means possible to get money from us!!! Don't fall for it!
