I reviewed my bank account for recent activity and to check my balance when I noticed a charge for $19.99 for Self-Makeup.co on January 5, 2026. I checked my subscriptions to ensure I was not subscribed to anything that would be charged on 1/5, and found no activity or $19.99 charge on any of my subscriptions on that date. I looked up the website with the provided phone number (855-742-2476) and found an AI-suspicious website. I called the number to speak to a person who may work there, an AI voice answered and told me to press 2 for a refund and 3 for customer service. I pressed 3, it told me "no one is available to take your call" and hung up. I called again and pressed 2, it asked for information- I provided the wrong information on purpose and it told me my "refund would be processed" and hung up. Approximately 10 minutes after I called, I received a spam text saying "go golfing tomorrow?" I do not golf and it was from an unidentified number. I reported the number.
