On January 16, 2026, I reached out to a company called All Appliances Repair at 878 309 6986, using the contact info on their website (https://www.usa-appliance-repair.com/). My dishwasher had stopped working, so I asked them to come take a look and give me a repair estimate. A man who said he was a technician showed up around 6:15 PM ET. My Ring camera captured his image. He brought in some tools, checked the dishwasher, and pointed out what he said was water leaking from it, telling me the motor needed to be replaced. He said he’d order the part and come back on January 22 between 5 PM and 9 PM to finish the job. He asked for a $200 deposit, which I paid by check. He never came back and stopped responding. After the no show, I looked up the business online and found a Yelp review (https://www.yelp.com/biz/all-appliances-repair-germantown) describing almost the exact same situation, including a photo of the same person who came to my house. It looks like this may be a recurring scam. I’m filing this to help warn others and document what happened.
