On 7/9/25 a Mr. Morris Smith intercepted a call I made to Viking cruise lines asking for a refund of a trip my girlfriend and I were going to take before I took ill. He promised to process the cancellation in return for a fee of $4493.04. I gave him the numbers of three credit cards (BECU refused the charge and Schwab and CITI allowed $2493.04 and $2000.00 respectively). On 7/10/25 I realized I had been duped and called the Schwab and CITI to block the charges. Both banks couldn't since the charges had already posted. I cancelled my credit cards and had new ones issued. Both banks gave me provisional credit. Later Schwab made the credit permanent but CITI didn't. Mr. Smith uses a merchant ID of VIAGEMFARES.COM. He does business under QWEENMARYCRUISES, FLIGHTSASSIST, TRAVELJUNCTION, AIR TICKETS HUB, and GLOBAL E-FARE. He has phone numbers of 888-801-2032 and 888-290-4299 ext. 734. I contend Mr. Smith committed fraud by deception. He intercepted my call and extracted a payment under false pretenses by offering a service he couldn't provide. As the amount exceeded lawful limits and involved an out of state phone number, he committed a felony and violated interstate commerce. I would like a refund of $2000.00.
