The caller falsely claimed to represent T-Mobile. Carrier lookup indicates the number operates as a VoIP line under Level 3 / Level 3 Latin American Solutions, LLC and is not a wireless number. The call appears consistent with phone company impersonation and social-engineering fraud. The recipient contacted was (787) 929-0086). No financial loss occurred. Actions taken: I have reported the situation to Level 3 / Level 3 Latin American Solutions, LLC, and FTC. Public warning: Phone company impersonation scams often use VoIP numbers to appear legitimate. Do not share verification codes, account information, or personal details with unsolicited callers claiming to represent mobile carriers.
