March 2026 Scam Report

Published April 2, 2026

Fake loan scams and debt relief robocalls dominated this month's scam phone numbers. Six of the ten most reported numbers pushed bogus loan offers using AI-generated voices, generating over 6,800 consumer complaints in a single month.

The worst offender is a robocall operation calling itself "Crestwood Loan Advisors" that blasted consumers with preapproved loan offers up to $70,000 from thousands of spoofed caller IDs.

A coordinated operation used 5 numbers and AI-generated voices with rotating fake names like "Sally Foster," "Daniela Torres," and "Kiana Navarro" to pitch $59,000 to $67,000 loans.
