Two numbers drive that category hard: 562-391-0018 with 16 complaints and 562-286-5124 with 13, both pitching credit card, mortgage, or student loan relief.

Impersonation calls sit just four complaints behind debt reduction, making them nearly co-equal in scale. Home improvement and cleaning solicitations add another 80 complaints, and medical and prescription calls contribute 73, with 562-401-5940 and 562-512-4222 leading that subcategory at 13 and 11 complaints respectively.

The single highest-complaint number in the code, 562-306-1454, belongs to none of those leading categories. It logged 26 complaints under vacation and timeshares, the most of any individual number here and notable because timeshare fraud does not appear as a top-level category in the area code's aggregate counts. That gap suggests a concentrated burst of activity from one operation rather than a broad campaign. Close behind, 562-315-0665 generated 12 complaints in the energy, solar, and utilities space, and 562-735-5049 drew 10 complaints under charities.

The 358 dropped-call or no-message complaints, the largest single bucket by raw count, point to robodialers probing for live answers across many of those 676 numbers.
