I purchased a lumbar belt from Lumbour.com ( $134.95) under their 90 day money back guarantee. The product arrived with vague instructions, did not relieve discomfort, and the massage/heat features were misaligned and ineffective. Although the company advertises a full refund, they initially refused to provide return instructions. After multiple emails, they finally responded but required the item to be returned to China, even though it shipped from Jamaica, NY and they present themselves as a U.S. based seller. Issues: • International return shipping is unreasonable and costs more than the product. • The return policy makes the guarantee unusable. • I am within the 90 day window, yet no U.S. return option was provided. The seller’s return requirements were not disclosed at checkout. There was no notice that returns must be sent to China or that customers must pay international shipping and fees. Had this been clear, I would not have purchased the item. The process is burdensome, costly, and impractical, making the guarantee misleading. The prolonged communication of back and forth emails with the seller has also placed unnecessary strain on my family. My wife has a back condition, and we cannot continue lengthy email exchanges simply to obtain a refund for a product that did not work. The seller offered a 25% refund originally which I refused, then ofefred a 50% refund, but this does not resolve the core issues: 1. The product did not work as advertised. 2. Return requirements were not disclosed. 3. The return process is excessive and impractical. 4. Communication appears designed to discourage refunds.
