Be aware that scammers are offering high paying offers of employment but require you to do a background check and direct you to this site: https://mandatorybackgroundverification.com/ If you have a good antiviral suite or protections it will stop you from accessing it, but if you don't they will want you more information from you. I assume both personal and financial to cover the costs of the "background check" as in some cases they will tell you up front that there is a fee that "is not for them, but the agency" agency they use (typically TransUnion is mentioned to add legitimacy). I get at least one of these a week and it's always from an unknown company claiming they found my resume on LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, etc. But they all go straight to wanting you to go to that site to proceed. @media (min-width:768px){.css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:auto;-ms-flex-preferred-size:auto;flex-basis:auto;width:calc(100% * 6 / [BBB Scam Type: Employment] [Business: Danson Solutions] [Location: CA, USA - 93308]

Email came through stating I was "shortlisted for the next stage" for interviews for an online job. I had originally applied to the company through LinkedIn. It requested a "standard employment background and a credit verification before interviews are scheduled." The website linked was https://mandatorybackgroundverification.com. Once there, it requests a fee of $29.95 to be paid to receive the background check, stating that it's nonrefundable and charged by TransUnion. After applying to jobs through Linked In, I received this email. This is the second time I got the same type of message from a “different company.” The first time I followed the steps, downloaded TransUnion & input all my information & paid the $29.95 fee. There was no follow up afterward to schedule an interview. I did get access to my credit report through the TransUnion account registration. Not sure how the scammers use TransUnion as a bridge to taking their payments. Received an email that had information about a job I applied for on LinkedIn. The email contained the title of the role and used the company title 'FutureSign'. In the email, they stated that I was moved onto the next stage, which involved an interview, but I needed to pay for a background check due to the role's involvement with sensitive financial information. The email had no contact information from the company and made it seem urgent that I complete the background check which was odd. They then provided this link, "https://mandatorybackgroundverification.com/" to complete the background check. [BBB Scam Type: Employment] [Business: Unknown] [Location: FL, USA - 32216]

Scammer offered a fake job requiring $30 paid up-front at "mandatorybackgroundverification.com", likely has other people's stolen credit card details in addition to the initial $30. Uses email " [email protected] " and signs as "Future Sign – Recruitment Team". [BBB Scam Type: Employment] [Business: Mandatorybackgroundverification.com] [Location: NE, USA - 68102]
