I assume both personal and financial to cover the costs of the "background check" as in some cases they will tell you up front that there is a fee that "is not for them, but the agency" agency they use (typically TransUnion is mentioned to add legitimacy). Once there, it requests a fee of $29.95 to be paid to receive the background check, stating that it's nonrefundable and charged by TransUnion. This is the second time I got the same type of message from a “different company.” The first time I followed the steps, downloaded TransUnion & input all my information & paid the $29.95 fee. There was no follow up afterward to schedule an interview. I did get access to my credit report through the TransUnion account registration. Not sure how the scammers use TransUnion as a bridge to taking their payments.
