I googled "American Airlines" in order to change my flight and called the number that popped up. The call waiting sounded just like the one American Airlines uses and a gentleman answered the phone. I told him that I needed to change my flight and he asked for my information then told me that since I had already changed my flight that I would need to upgrade my seats and then he could change it. Once changed he would give me a refund for the upgrade. I got an email for the upgrade and another for the refund, so he told me the refund may take up until November to happen so I waited and never received the refund. My Credit card company did not cancel the purchase and they don't answer that number anymore. I went on the Richflights.com website and spoke to another gentleman who told me that they tried to refund me but the credit card company denied it. They are blatantly scamming people. Date and time of the booking- Nov 20th 2 am Name of the agency- RichFlights.com Emma extension 9212 My mother passed away suddenly in India and I was trying to get a flight out of IAD in a few hours. I spoke to the travel agent Emma at RichFlights. The confirmation number was NWZJ5W and I was assured a bereavement rate and said that I would see 2 charges come through- Emirates charge $2528,29 and RichFlights $3931.31 totaling $6189.60. Once I get my billing statement, I would see a refund of $4700.40 . However there was no refund at all. Had I been told the refund would not occur I would have not agreed to purchase the ticket. I relied on that statement under extreme stress and emotional distress. I attempted to contact the agent and the merchant but they kept making excuses and asked for more money instead and said if I paid more, they would refund everything. This seemed very suspicious.
