I received an unsolicited text message claiming to be from a company called "Seattle-Systems." While I have been applying for work recently, that is not a company I have applied to. The text message reads: Hello, this is Alexus Jackson with Seattle Systems regarding your application. You've been selected to continue to the next step for the Video Editor (Remote) role. To proceed, please open Microsoft Teams, search for [email protected] , and send a connection request. Include your job code: 115 in your message. If you're unable to connect on teams or need assistance, please email [email protected] I suspected this was a scam due to the unknown company sending it and the requirement to use MS Teams. Upon searching for it, I found nearly identical text (save the job title) here on your website. Visiting seattle-systems.com revealed that the domain is unowned. I suspect this was an attempt to gain access to my computer via MS Teams or extort me for money to "get the job." I did not respond or follow up with the scammer in any way. .css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;- [BBB Scam Type: Employment] [Business: Seattle Systems] [Location: CA, USA - 91201]
