Www.bellatorri.com is a website that goes into great length to describe this “handmade” process, and infers the product being made in Italy. The product I received was made in China The site also tries to lead you to believe a publication “Global Report” is announcing “breaking news”, showing crowds lining up to purchase the remaining merchandise before a “corporate takeover”. It also states “as of five minutes ago, (Today is 01/23/2026) online access just opened”. Of course, I placed my order online, January 5. Additionally the site states they have a 30 day return policy, which implies a full refund. Today I was offered 10% for my return, and I could keep the product! If it were such a wonderful handmade bag, I would think they would want it returned. @media (min-width:768px){.css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:auto;-ms-flex-preferred-size:auto;flex-basis:auto;width:calc(100% * 6 / var(--Grid-parent-columns) - (var(--Grid-parent-columns) - 6) * (var [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: Bellatorri] [Location: NC, USA- 28277]
I saw an advertisement in the NYTimes online that Bellatori was being acquired by Etienne Aiger and all stock had to go. I didn’t click but did a little research and saw the great prices for genuine leather goods. Additionally, I read their story about father and daughter learning the craft, so I ordered 3 purses and got an additional 20% off. Their website says everything is delivered within 6-20 days from NYC. When I got a shipping notice from China, I contacted them via email. See attached Today, finally the purses arrived and they are plastic, poor quality. I have filed a dispute through PayPal. I’ve also requested a refund.
