Spoke with TrademarkRoyal rep., Alex Foster, to get my business name trademark registered. While on the phone with Alex Foster (201-551-2758), he helped with filling out the application and then took the initial payment of $149.99. After completing that part of the process, he said an attorney with their legal dept. would call and get additional info and the payment of $350.00 for filing with USPTO. However, the text received from this company did not indicate attorney, but instead Case Filing Officer, Dylan K. Johnson. The other emails that were used are: [email protected] and [email protected] . This "company" not only charged for the original amounts, but persisted to try and charge my credit card numerous times for additional $350. They also wanted to record me saying that i approved the charges. I only stated that authorization was for $350 and $350 only! They also emailed me a fake link going to a fake USPTO website showing trademark registration completed. However, upon suspecting fraud, I entered the USPTO web address into by browser to verify trademark registration, but it was not there. They gave me this verification/serial number, 99610002, to search the USPTO website and it could not be found. Suspicions verified. I have more documentation and images if needed. My assistant did contact the USPTO and confirmed our confirmation was a fraud and that there was not trademark filing in for us in their database. By the way, Trademark Royal has now taken down their website. However, as of yesterday, Alex was still reachable by phone.
