Called to have chimney cleaned for price of $100. When he arrived he asked me about the "history" of the chimney. I am a renter so did not know. Price went from $100 to $350 because "the chimney hadn't been cleaned for at least 5 years." He was at the residence for less than 20 minutes. they did not accept credit card so I wrote check. Cleaner also had problems remembering Washington state taxes and said they would email receipt when he got back at the office. I never received it. I called 6 times and each time was told that they needed to speak to their manager. My check was cashed and still could not get a receipt. I looked them up with Washington State Labor and Industry and found no active license. They stated that they were licensed and bonded on the website. Also looked at HomeAdvisor where they said they were rated excellent. No record of them. Phone number has changed at least 4 times on the website since Dec. 4, 2025 when the work was done.
