I was called this afternoon by gentlemen named William Parker. He claimed to be a customer service representative of Amazon calling to check on a purchase of an iPhone 17 Pro for $1999. I told him I did not make that purchase and that I wanted this purchase to immediately be canceled. He said there had been a bank account opened in my name and did I know anyone at 429 Arcadia Court or Albania, NY 12205 I told him no I had never been to New York and I have no family in New York. He then proceeded to ask if I had a bank account with several different banks. I told him no and I made up a Bank and said my bank account is Bank south which is not true. He then said that he would transfer me to the fraud department with Bank south. I asked him numerous times to please give me his ID and phone number in case we got disconnected, he finally told me his name and it took forever for him to give me a phone number. The phone number he gave me was different from the one on my caller ID. The number he gave me was 315-6295453. His ID that he gave me was AMZ20412. Hey then insisted that he had to transfer me to the fraud department of Bank south. I told him I would call my bank and verify what was going on. He said that was not necessary that the people that had stole my identity had opened a new bank account up in New York and wanted to know the last four digits of my Social Security number.
