The scammer left a voice mail for my mother to call back 860-339-8389. When she called back the scammer stated that they were contacting my mother in regards to a vehicle she no longer owns and paid for over 15 years ago. They stated that they were calling from an attorney's office and that my mother's account was no longer in collections and that they were offering her a settlement for $1,500 instead of $3,300 instead of transferring it to the judge at the Hartford Courthouse. They had my mother's former address from 20 years ago and the last four digits of her social security as well as an old email address. They offered to take a payment over the phone for a minimum of $330. My mother is disabled and on limited income. They threatened to send federal Marshalls to the house to serve my mother to appear in court on January 8 in CT. I hung the phone up and told them to email me the documentation. @media (min-width:768px){.css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-gro [BBB Scam Type: Debt Collections] [Business: World Processing] [Location: FL, USA - 33068]
