I am submitting a complaint against a hair service provider who operates under the name bookwboobs on Instagram and via text message at (323) 347-8002. I booked an appointment with this provider and paid a required $50 deposit. I was also instructed to purchase six packs of braiding hair, which I did specifically for this service. My appointment was confirmed, but on the day of the service the provider messaged me stating she could not complete the original style and offered three options: accept a different style, reschedule, or receive my deposit back. I chose to cancel the appointment and receive my deposit refund, which was one of the options she offered. However, I never received my $50 deposit back, despite following her instructions. As a result, I am also at a loss for the money spent on hair that was purchased solely for this appointment. I am requesting assistance in recovering my deposit and addressing this unresolved issue.
