2/13/26, I contracted with United America Interstate Group to move a full size bed and dresser and mirror from Townsend, MT to Fayetteville, NC. Estimate was for $800.00, 300 CF and I had to pay $400.00 upfront, which i did vua Venmo. The remaining $400.00 due at delivery. 2/23/26 the movers showed up, took pictures of the furniture, sent them to the office and I was then told that the quote i was given was wrong. That it was $2215.00 and 465 CF, that i had to pay 1107.00 and the rest due at delivery. I asked them to measure the furniture so I could see how they came up with the amount, they refused. I said I didn't have that kind of money. I called customer service 480-757-6014 and 480-300-7157 and asked for my $400.00 back and I was told no because the movers had come to my house. Eventually they left. I filed a dispute with venmo on 2/23/26. On 3/3/26, I received a phone call from 480-300-7157 The man identified himself as Anthony the billing manager for United America Interstate Group. He said he was trying to give me back $400.00 on my Venmo account but that he couldn't because the status on the dispute was pending response from Umited America. He said I had to resolve the dispute and he would credit my Venmo. Anthony walked me thru changing the status to resolved. He said it would take 10 or 15 minutes and he would call me back and if I didn't hear from him to call 480-300-7157. He hung up. 10 minutes passed and I called the number he gave me. It had been disconnected. Every number for them has been disconnected.
