I was selling a few items on Marketplace and ("Kaylynn Nelson") wanted to pay me with Zelle so I opened a Zelle account. She then said she sent the payment and then I got a message from (607) 283-0743 stating "You received a first time payment of $340.00USD from a business account. PAYMENT INFORMATION: Amount: $340.00USD Date: Jan 22, 2026 From account ending:****3920 Confirmation number:RPORSJZ7 Status: Pending (security check) The sender stated that we're purchasing an item. Payment Awaits security check verification (S.C.V) before deposit.. IMPORTANT NOTICE: we request that you verify your identity immediately. For assistance, please contact our support team: +1 (607) 283-0743. Zelle team. I called the number (607) 283-0743 and it stated the person your calling didn't set up voice mail box, weird. I called my bank and they said everything looks good. Had our daughter test and send $5 to our new Zelle account and it worked fine. The lady then said her account is a business account and I needed to call that number, The 5th time someone answered with a Foreign voice and said his name was Jeremiah and his Zelle team Id #72648. He want more of my information. I told him he didn't anymore info. I asked him is this a scam, if so I'm going to report you and he j hung up on me.. I PM Kaylynn Nelson on market placing letting her know and she said I needed to call that number again, I found the true Zelle Customer Service number and sent it her and stated this that this is the true Zelle CS # and your just a scammer and I was going to report her and the other asshole. I was lucky to read a scammer report on this site and seen the same type of scam and the phone last 3 digits were the only difference. Thats when I called her out on it and she never responded back. .css-c8hvdp{--Grid-columns:12;-webkit-f [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: Kaylynn Nelson] [Location: WI, USA- 53147]
