The scammer stole the indenity of Sandy's Tractors and Equipment Co., Inc., located at 7405 Boydton Plank Road,Petersburg,VA. 23803. A website was established and listed as Sandys Tractor & Equipment, using the actual location with pictures of the building and parking lot. They also created a email address: [email protected] phone number the scammers are using is 804-277-4772. This is not our phone number. The scammers have advertised multiple pieces of equipment for sale,stating the items are located at 7405 Boydton Plank Road, Petersburg,VA 23803,this is not true. They are asking customers to wire money for the purchase of the equipment for delivery. A person wired them $31,000.00 for a purchase that he did not receive. We are not affiliated with this web site,email address or phone number. The necessary reports have been filed,along with notifying the sherriff's department of this scam. My husband found a listing for an equipment trailer for sale on Facebook. He called the number listed (804-277-4772) and left a message. This guy (Robert Fox , we are sure that's not his real name) called him back. He sent multiple pictures of this trailer and emailed a purchase order. He called my husband back 2 times during the day to hurry his decision making and offered to deliver the trailer for $500.00 less than it was listed for ($27,000.) for free, 8 hours one way. Sound too good to be true? It was! We got looking at the pic he sent along with the pics from the FB listing and profile and compared to the Google Maps photos online of the actual business. They didn't look at all like the same place. I also found the same scam listed on the BBB site which saved us from falling for the scam. My husband called the phone number listed for the actual business from online and talked to the owner. He said he's been receiving all kinds of calls from people inquiring about this scam.
