Initial call came in from 904-344-1663 from Hastings Florida they have been calling me over and over again and either not leaving a message or just saying my name and dob and asking to call back. A woman finally left a message stating their name was Tasha Thompson. Process verification of United Legal. They got a pending civil complaint scheduled for filing with Duval County due to a failure to respond. I was never served or left notice at my home. They had only my street name but not street number. They advised to call 844-256-7528 with a reference number. They had my first and last name and dob. I called the 844 number and they stated they were retained for a levy order, irs order, or possible garnishment from an account that was charged off in 2013. The account referenced is no longer on my credit report. I was advised of a tolling provision and that it voids the statue of limitations and I was being sued to collect. The amount was provided of 1546.30 and that if I went to court it would be a higher amount of 5488.45 due to lawyer fees. If I decided to pay they would send me documents and a release of liability. at that point I disconnected stating I was calling my lawyer. I accessed my credit history and the account referenced is no longer on my report. I looked up any civil cases in my county and the only one was a traffic ticket that was paid. I had no outstanding civil cases listed against my name. I have since blocked the numbers that have called and will no not be answering them if they call back from a different number.
