I received a call, from "843-380-9686" on 11/28/2025 at 11:19AM, originally from a man that said he was Mark Holloway, I did not answer the call but I got a voicemail stating he was a collections officer, trying to locate me to have me call an office with the number "855-603-3781" that is filing my "claim" and gave me the claim number of 186-5970. When I called that same day after listening to the voicemail, because I had no idea what was going on, a man named "Ryan" answered. Claiming that I broke the law twice when entering in and defaulting in a payday loan with Check N Go. He used scare tactics like "this is your last chance before its filed within the courts" "there will be legal actions pursued if an arrangement isn't made" I told him I was confused because I check my credit daily and I have never seen a collections for check n go or any other agency. He proceeded to tell me that it would not show on my credit because it was a loan based off of my income. I stupidly agreed to set up an arrangement and gave my debit card information. I asked if he could email me some sort of validation or confirmation of the agreement and the debt I supposedly own, and was told that they only send out letters when the debt is paid in full to state it had been resolved. Red flag, yes... I know I was not smart in this but he knew ALOT of my personal information some how. They even called my office phone. Fast forward to yesterday 12/17/2025 I called that same number back. Spoke with a "Steven". His way of answering the phone was skeptical. Not professional at all or introductive. Just "This is Steven" I raised concerns on if this was legitimate or a scam. He assured it was legit. That they really don't send out written or emailed confirmations, just resolved emails/letters. Told me again I could cancel the arrangem [BBB Scam Type: Debt Collections] [Business: East Processing] [Location: SC,
