I am writing to formally document an incident involving a suspected scam and attempted identity verification that occurred on January 29, 2026. An individual identifying herself as “Lilly” contacted my mother’s workplace and asked to speak with my brother in an effort to locate me. When my mother requested the name of the company the caller was representing, the caller refused to provide a company name. The caller also asked my mother how to spell my brother’s name, despite initially requesting to speak with him, and stated that he was not listed in their system. Later the same day, I received a phone call from the same individual. When I asked what company she represented, she stated that she did not know the company name and further claimed that they do not place outbound calls, despite having initiated contact. During the call, the caller requested that I provide my Social Security number to confirm my identity. I refused to provide this information. The caller immediately ended the call after my refusal. At no time did the caller provide verifiable identifying information, a company name, or a legitimate reason for requesting sensitive personal data. No personal or financial information was disclosed by me or by my family. My mother called (855) 919-8080 in an attempt to verify if the call was legitimate at such time learned the company name given is Great Eastern. This letter is intended to formally document the incident due to the suspicious nature of the contact and the apparent attempt to obtain personally identifiable information through deceptive means. Please let me know if additional details or clarification are required. .css-c8hvdp{--Grid-columns:12;-webkit-flex-direction:row;-ms-flex-direction:row;flex-direction:row;min-width:0;box-sizing:border-box;display:-webkit-box;display:-webkit-flex;display:-ms-flexbox;display:flex [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: Great Eastern- Imposter] [Location: TX, USA- 77449]
