I was contacted by a process server to verify if I would be home to receive court documents. They asked if my name was correct then asked me if my last 4 numbers of my social security were correct. I believe I didn't say yes or no but I'm not sure. I did ask who they were and what they wanted. I also asked what the documents were for. I then asked to be removed from the mailing or phone list. They gave me a number of 866 811 0287 that is supposedly a law firm with a case number of 2025-595283 to call and contact them about the supposed civil lawsuit or case against me. I did not get any other details. They also did not confirm my address, but did say that I should have received a letter. Received a call from the process server trying serve me for court documentsto get money for a debt I thought was long overdue to be pursued. They gave me the phone number 866-811-0287 with a case number. I was told it was Garrison and associates Law firm. I was sent to the litigations department extension 467 and was told to speak with a gentleman in Franklin Parker. The information on the debt was correct from a previous marriage, but now that I have paid an a large down payment and tried to reach out discussing my next payment. I cannot get in contact with any of them or find any documentation on a law firm itself. All of these factors lead me to believe it is a scam since I have not been called back after multiple voicemails and now the phone number goes to voicemail no matter the time of day when called.
