I got a text thanking me for purchasing Microsoft Geek for $800.00. If this was a mistake, to call customer support within 24 hours at 812-262-1927. After verifying the area code was in US, I called. I gave the gentleman my name and the purchase order # and cancelled the order that I never made. He proceeded to take me through adding an app called realvnc. I declined remote access and the man became irritated and rude, saying anything to keep me on the line. I told him that I was reporting the scam and hung up. He called back using 929-766-2420 which I did not answer. He never asked for any info other than the PO #. It seemed that after I installed the realrnc app he just wanted to keep me on the line as long as possible, so I uninstalled the app as I was telling him that I was reporting the scam. I will watch for any charges on my card or to my bank. Thank you. @media (min-width:768px){.css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:auto;-ms-flex-preferre [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: Microsoft Imposter] [Location: LA, USA - 71225]
