Today I was emailed with a job opportunity. "Hello ****** *****, This is to acknowledge receipt of your resume regarding the WORK FROM HOME Data Entry Clerk Position/ Payroll Assistant we listed on ZipRecruiter with an hourly salary between $22-$25/hr, kindly reply to this email if you are still interested in the position for more information. Regards, Anthony Myler Hiring Manager IDEAL PAYROLL SERVICES 3919S 147th St Ste 120, Omaha, NE 68144 (940) 312-2179 [email protected] www.idealpayrollservices.com" I then conducted an Interview through Microsoft Teams text chat. The interviewer claimed: "Welcome to IDEAL PAYROLL SERVICES, my name is Stevens Michael, I am your interview Manager and I am also going to be your online supervisor. Welcome to our communication channel where all your day to day task will be assigned to you." Throughout the interview, I noticed grammar and spelling mistakes. I also noticed the interview had multiple copy and paste responses which on their own are not too bad of red flags. Doing some digging I found that their listed address was for a business that has been permanently closed. The business only had one letter missing but a different logo from what they were claiming their name to be. I looked under this companies reviews and I see that the owner responded to a review warning of a potential job scam: "Hi Vickie - It sounds like you followed your instincts when something did not feel right so that's a good choice. However, you have left your review for the wrong company. Our company Ideal Payroll Service merged with a larger group under a different name years ago. So we have not been pursuing any new hires under Ideal Payroll. In addition, we always operated with the highest of integrity.
