On March 20th, 2026, I received a call from 212-873-3020 claiming it was someone from JP Morgan Chase Bank and they had noticed some suspicious transactions on my account. I said I did not make either transaction and to cancel the charges. They then said that there was a pending wire transfer for $16,862 and that all three transactions were in the name of Amy Adams. They said she is a bank teller at a local Chase branch currently under investigation and that she is a primary suspect in the case. They said that in order to convict this person, I needed to go to a different Chase branch and initiate a transfer of funds into an encrypted account, saving the receipt of the transaction to be used as evidence in court. They claimed they were coordinating with the FBI, FDIC, and local law enforcement. I went to the bank where they instructed me to go up to a teller, tell them I needed to do a cash withdrawal of $16,862 and deposit into another account. I was instructed not to speak any other words to the teller as they were potentially part of the criminal network happening with in the bank. Thinking I was following instructions from the FBI, I made the withdrawal and deposited into the account. I have since learned the whole thing was a scam and I have lost all of the funds. Chase says they are not able to track the funds as it looks like I willingly made the transfer. I filed a claim with Chase but they are unable to reclaim the funds unless a police report is filed and further steps can be taken. So far, police and FBI have not responded to my report. Here is the info from the scammers: Account number 2901653734, routing number 102001017. Account name Joam Jose Perez Hernandez. The person on the phone claimed to be Jamie Sullivan, a Fraud Prevention Manager from Chase. He gave me two direct numbers to call him at: 947-280-2857 and 808-277-8947. He said he filed a police report: PXCA000296L0015 [BBB Scam Type: Bank/Credit Card Company Imposter] [Business: Chase Imposter]
