I found a web site that appeared to offer auction cars. In order to bid on auctions, the site required me to provide images of my VA drivers license. I bid on an auction over the Thanksgiving holday and appeared to have won a Porsche 911 for a great price. I received a phone and an email letting me know that I won the auction. I talked to the "Sales Manager Charlie Burton" via phone on Sunday, 11/30 about winning the auction, and briefly discussed getting an invoice and how to conduct payment. I did not receive an invoice and instead was instructured to call them back to discuss the invoice. On the phone, Charlie began to explain how the payment would work and said that he would not tell me who the lien holder was on this vehicle, but that I would instead be dealing with an individual from his finance department who would receive a wire transfer directly to him and not to a bank whereupon he would hold it until I received the vehicle. I asked several questions about the process and some concerns about not using a bank to bank transfer. He said he would send me the details and also a copy of the invoice with the hour. I have not heard back via email nor phone since Tuesday, 12/2 when I last talked to Charlie on the phone and I never received an invoice or the car or any information at all. This is a scam for sure and needs to be stopped. I also found 4 fake websites that contain fake customer information to indicate previous happy customers who won auctiions from this or had questions that were answered by other fake people who had experience with the site and their fake auctions. Those sites are bargainersgroup.com, deeelinsite.com, wwdforum.com, and ddiscoveryreviews.com [BBB Scam Type: Retail Business Business name BCS Auction] [Business: BCS Auction] [Location: VA, USA - 20110]
