Scam Description I received a fraudulent text message claiming to be from the United States Postal Service (USPS). The message stated that a package could not be delivered due to an incorrect address and urged me to click a link to update delivery information and avoid additional charges. The text included USPS branding but did not provide a tracking number, recipient name, or delivery address. The message was sent from an international phone number associated with Moroccan mobile telecom infrastructure, historically linked to Orange Maroc (formerly Méditel / Medi Telecom). USPS does not send delivery notifications from international numbers or use shortened links. Scammer Contact Information Phone number: +212 786-340106 Link provided: https://ln.run/OEB94?QEJB=AiISfb How the Scam Works (Consumer Warning) Scammers send fake delivery text messages pretending to be USPS or other shipping companies. The messages are often sent from international numbers and include shortened links that hide the real destination. Victims are directed to fake websites designed to steal personal information, addresses, or credit card details under the pretense of correcting a delivery problem or paying a small fee. What Happened to Me I did not click the link and did not provide any personal or financial information. The message was flagged as spam by my phone.
