I received a message on my phone about a promotion with Spectrum. Called them back at 256-921-0312, was told about a 2 year promotion and I agreed. I was charged $9.99. I asked about paying with a credit card ( no mention of Target gift cards. They gave me a special code SPC0545 and transferred to the payment dept. 844-596-1589. Once the call was transferred, I was told about a new 5-year promotion. Pay 720.00 up front for 1 year and then $60.00 a month for 4 years. I was told this promotion was a partnership with Target and to make the payment that I needed togo to Target today and get 2 gift cards 310 each call them back with the gift card information. They were also going to send a $100 gift card. I told them that I was not going out today, he increased the gift card to $125 for going out today. I changed my mind and didn't want to go forward with the transaction. The person on the phone got very aggressive/rude. Told me that they were going to charge $150.00 cancelation fee (was charged to my account) and that my Spectrum services would be shut down for 2 weeks and be black balled from getting any other service provider. We began to argue, I requested a manager, he said he was the manager John Anderson and after 45 minutes I hung up. .css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:aut [BBB Scam Type: Utility] [Business: Spectrum impostor] [Location: WI, USA- 53536]
