My husband received a letter in the postal mail communicating that he had won $750,000 US dollars from Publishers Clearing House. The supposed entry into the sweepstakes was based on cross-promotion by marketing companies through Credit Card expenditures, past subscriptions and in-store and grocery store rebates. The letter from Deborah Holland, Executive Vice President, states that payment would be processed within three business days, and to contact claims agent, Paul Smurl, at 1-518-239-2239 for method of payment. He (my husband) was advised not to delay as there was a 3-5 day hold on his winnings. Enclosed with the letter was a check for $7,987.53 with the business name, The Sherwin-Williams Company. They stated that the check should be deposited by ATM with a bank card or inside a bank branch and to inform the agent once deposited. The purpose of the check was to make payment towards taxes and processing fees. My husband was also advised to keep the award letter strictly confidential until the winnings had been processed and remitted to an account. .css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:auto;-ms-flex-preferred-size:auto;flex-basis:auto;width:calc(100% * 12 / var(--Grid-parent-columns) - (var(--Grid-parent-columns) - 12) * (var(--Grid-parent-columnSpacing) / var(--Grid-parent-columns) [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: Publishers Clearing House Date Repor] [Location: IN, USA- 46582]
